Inspired by the influencer youtube channels, My work is only the reflection of others. appropriates every act taking place in front of it in order to turn their reflections into the actual subject material. Its form derives from the archetype that is very characteristical for the Munich´s most exclusive cityscape referencing its windows, portals, arcades or niches of various sizes.

The point of departure for the sentence My work is only the reflection of others. is to comment on the subject - object dichotomy in the complexity of power structures that shape the expectations on basic living conditions, privacy and the execution of self-representation, whereas the interpretation of it could be manifold. The sentence makes therefore the title of the work and is engraved in the mirror following the shape of it.

It was part of the exhibition „Runaway Process“ at the Akademie Galerie in Munich - exhibition of the Dirk Fleischmann´s Project Class dealing with the economics of creativity. It was placed on a wall above a runway where among others several fashion related performances have taken place. This gallery is situated in the aforementioned area.
